    Course Synopsis

    This course develops students' social communicative ability in English. Students will use English for a variety of everyday purposes. The focus will be on developing oracy skills. Both language fluency and accuracy will be emphasised. Students will explore authentic language use in this course.

    • describe schedules and routines
    • make appointments
    • use preposition of time
  • Unit 4: Inviting People and Showing Hospitality

    In this learning unit, you will learn to:

    • invite people
    • respond to invitations
    • use present continuous tense
  • Unit 5: Shopping

    In this learning unit, you will learn to:

    • ask about and state prices
    • pay for goods and services
    • use countable and uncountable nouns
